HELP EVERY
VOICE SHAPE
A WISER DECISION.
When a conversation gets stuck or a few voices dominate, use these consultation prompts to hear different perspectives, find shared purpose and agree on a next step.
Start here
Bring one question that matters.
Choose a real decision your group needs to make. Name the shared purpose, gather what you know and use the steps below to explore the answer together.
“How might we __________ while protecting __________?”
A consultation rhythm
What shared good is the decision meant to serve?
Separate facts, assumptions, feelings, and missing information.
Listen for contribution—not status, confidence, or volume.
Once offered, an idea belongs to the group and can be combined, changed, or left behind.
Decide with the well-being of the whole in view.
Carry the decision in unity, observe the result, and consult again.
Try the room
Change the conversation by changing the prompt.
Who is right?
Ask: What truth is each perspective helping us see?
How do I win support?
Ask: What does the purpose require from all of us?
Why won’t they listen?
Ask: Have I understood their view well enough to express it fairly?
“No power can exist except through unity.”
A guiding quotation included in TLE’s method of transformative learning.

Consultation is a capability, not a meeting format.
It becomes real through qualities of character, disciplined listening, detachment from ego, and continued practice.
